Collection: Pan/Tilt Data Acquisition Unit (PTDAU)
The Pan/Tilt Data Acquisition Unit (PTDAU) is a high-performance pan/tilt positioner that can carry up to 10Kg/20lbs and can move up to 100 degrees/sec in pan and 40 degrees/second in tilt. Any PTU defined as a Pan/Tilt Unit Configuration may be used as the Pan/Tilt Unit entry in a OTDAU System configuration.
The PTU is distinct from pan/tilt (PTZ) cameras in that it can potentially carry any type of sensor payload, not just cameras. It is available in two versions -- PTUSB and PTDAU. The PTUSB uses a USB data interface for motion control and an Ethernet interface for onboard IP cameras and is powered by AC line voltage.
The PTDAU has a single PoE interface for both power and control/data signals. It also includes a fast Raspberry Pi computer in the upper junction box which provides Ethernet to PTU control, USB camera interface and potentially other control and processing functions for future sensor payloads.
Each of the two types of PTU includes the necessary signal and power cables or PoE injector as well as a heavy-duty tripod for field mounting. Just add an appropriate length CAT6 cable for the USB or Ethernet interface.
The upper enclosure includes a quick release clamp on top for ease of attaching and detaching a DSLR camera as well as dual USB connectors for USB devices, such as cameras. There is also a high-power USB connector for 5VDC power for continuous camera power in lieu of a battery.
The payload, such as IP cameras or a Canon DSLR is not included. Order or provide the desired complement of up to two IP cameras and a DSLR as required.
